The National Register Board of Directors is delighted to announce that they have appointed Andrew P. Boucher as the new Chief Executive Officer of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists. As CEO, Andrew will be responsible for the operational and financial management of the association, strategic planning, and human resources.
Andrew has been with the National Register for more than 20 years and has served as Interim CEO since late 2023. He has extensive experience in management, fundraising, communications, and operations. He has been a leader of National Register staff and consultants for many years and has deep ties to other professional organizations in psychology. Andrew has been a driving force in evolving the National Register as the organization has developed new benefits and services, awards, and charitable giving programs.
The Board is also pleased to report that they have voted to add a Chief Psychologist Officer position to shape and implement the National Register’s strategic plan on professional practice issues. This role will enhance the organization’s ability to be a catalyst for positive change in the profession through coalition-building, advocacy, and increasing member engagement. The Board will release more details on that new position in January.
Finally, the Board would like to thank all National Register members for your continued support during our 50th anniversary year. All National Register staff and Board members are excited about what we’ll achieve together in the coming decades with our new leadership and capacity.
