National Register Committees

Committees are integral components of the programmatic and charitable activities of the National Register. The following Committees are comprised of members of the Board of Directors and other psychologists. These Committees expand the National Register’s capacity to serve psychologists and provide an excellent opportunity for leadership opportunities.

  • The Advocacy Committee seeks to identify pertinent professional practice issues and position the National Register as a catalyst for positive change in the profession.
  • The Awards Committee evaluates applicants for our Sammons, Hall, and Wellner Awards and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors.
  • The Fundraising Committee expands the National Register’s reach for small- and large-scale fundraising efforts for the National Register’s Next Generation Fund and other funding opportunities.
  • The Nominations Committee reviews candidates for the National Register Board of Directors, interviews finalists, and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors.
  • The SPTA Advocacy Award Committee evaluates achievements of state/provincial/territorial psychological association for excellence in national advocacy efforts.

This year, we’re excited to extend an invitation to all National Register members to join one of our committees. We are currently opening positions for the awards, nominations, and fundraising committees, and for the ITS panel. Submit an application to join one of these committees.
