
The National Register Board of Directors elected Angelica Terepka, PsyD, to a five-year term effective January 1, 2025.
In response to her election, Dr. Terepka remarked, “I am honored to have been elected to the National Register Board of Directors. I came into the field with a vision to aid in healing, empower silenced voices, and witness change on an individual and systemic level; I approach this opportunity with the same vision. I know that I join a group of advocates advancing the practice of health service psychology, and I look forward to contributing to equitable and innovative advancements in the field.”

Dr. Angelica Terepka (she/they) is a clinical psychologist who leads with authenticity and aims to integrate best practices in diversity and inclusion to align health systems with positive and inclusive cultural change. She is a proud lesbian, Catholic, female, trilingual, child of Polish immigrants, whose lived experiences fuel her demand for advocacy. She received her doctorate in psychology (Psy.D) from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is currently serving as the Director of Psychology at NYC Health + Hospitals | Elmhurst Hospital, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she provides direction, leadership, and influence to advance mental health care in the most diverse community of Queens, New York. Driven by a larger purpose of advocacy, Dr. Terepka received a 5-million-dollar grant focused on suicide prevention in diverse youth and has implemented culturally infused suicide prevention programing focused on community empowerment, and they lead LGBTQ+ affirming initiatives in healthcare institutions. Dr. Terepka’s expertise in trauma, suicide prevention, and clinical work with marginalized populations allows her to consult on local and national levels. They believe in disseminating information for best care practices; she is an educator, a researcher, and an author publishing in peer-reviewed journals focusing on best-practices in evidence-based treatment for marginalized and diverse communities.
Dr. Terepka has been credentialed by the National Register since 2023.
