Ronald F. Levant, EdD, Named 2015 Alfred M. Wellner Award Winner

The National Register Board of Directors voted to present the 2015 Alfred M. Wellner Award to Ronald F. Levant, EdD, of Akron, OH. Dr. Levant was recognized for his leadership, scholarship, and clinical work.

Named for the first Executive Officer, Alfred M. Wellner, PhD, the award is the National Register’s highest honor presented to a psychologist for significant contributions to the profession.

Ronald F. Levant, EdD, ABPP, is currently Professor of Psychology, The University of Akron, where he served as Dean of the Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences from 2005-2009. He also served as the 2005 President of APA, and is serving as Editor of the Psychology of Men and Masculinity. Dr. Levant has authored, co-authored, edited or co-edited 16 books and over 200 peer-reviewed refereed journal articles and book chapters in family and gender psychology and in advancing professional psychology.
