For over 12 years, she has worked both in mental health care and at The International School of The Hague with children, adolescents and their families. She specializes in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Schema Therapy. She grew up abroad and has personal experience with being an expat. She now lives in Wassenaar, The Netherlands, with her husband and two daughters.
