At its December meeting, the National Register Board of Directors re-elected Molly S. Clark, PhD, ABPP, to a four-year term that began January 1, 2017. She has served as Vice Chair for the Board since 2013.
Dr. Clark is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and has a faculty appointment within the Department of Human Behavior and Psychiatry. She provides direct treatment for patients and consults with UMMC faculty regarding issues related to behavioral health. Additionally, she is involved in training healthcare providers in an effort to increase collaborative care roles amongst primary care providers and psychologists.
In response to her re-election, Dr. Clark remarked, “I am honored to serve for a second term on the National Register Board of Directors. The National Register is moving into an era of transformation in terms of healthcare delivery. I am inspired by how the National Register is preparing our members for these changes and to ensure that psychologists are at the table when important decisions are being made that impact our profession. I hope to use my second term to continue to work on committees that are designed to promote deliverable, relevant products to our membership as well as those that strengthen our core mission and values.”
Erica H. Wise, PhD, Chair of the National Register’s Nominating Committee, commented on the selection process, “Molly’s leadership on behalf of the National Register has helped implement changes to benefit the members and the profession as a whole. The Board of Directors is excited to welcome Dr. Clark to another term.”
