Announcing The Coalition of Psychology Practice Organizations

CPPO Announcement

We are delighted to share that the National Register is a founding member of the newly formed Coalition of Psychology Practice Organizations (CPPO). CPPO is an alliance of practice-oriented psychology organizations dedicated to supporting the well-being, professional development, and sustainability of psychologists and doctoral-level psychology trainees.

The members of the Coalition are working together to identify shared challenges in practice and develop practical resources, professional development opportunities, and forums for connection that respond directly to psychologists’ needs.

In addition to the National Register, founding members include the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP), APA Division 31 (State, Provincial, and Territorial Psychological Associations Affairs), and APA Division 42 (Psychologists in Independent Practice). We have also welcomed the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB) and the Canadian Register of Health Service Psychologists (CRHSP) as liaison members.

This partnership will enhance our collective ability to support you and the broader psychology practice community, but our first step in this process is to listen. We want to hear from you and others in the practice community about challenges and opportunities facing psychologists, and how a group of member-driven practice organizations can better support your work. We have scheduled the first of a series of listening sessions to take place on April 10, 2026. Please visit https://psychologycoalition.org/events if you are interested in participating in this discussion.
