With this issue of the Journal of Health Service Psychology, we announce the resignation of Dr. Gary VandenBos as Managing Editor.  Gary was instrumental in founding the Journal and shaping its vision.  Our shared vision for the Journal of Health Service Psychology was to create a source of peer-reviewed information that would be of immediate applicability to clinicians in real-world complex clinical decision making.

With the resignation of Dr. VandenBos, the Journal will be launching a search for a Managing Editor in the very near future. We are also announcing a restructuring of our editorial process.  The editorial team will be working closely together to expand our peer-review process and to ensure its integrity.  We will be building a larger and more diverse group of Associate Editors and will also identify a complement of Consulting Editors to assist each Associate Editor in their areas of expertise.  We are wholly committed to ensuring the integrity of the psychology editorial process including our own journal, JHSP.

Although we are an academic journal and strive to conform to the highest standards of academic integrity, we also realize that our Journal has responsibilities that go beyond the accurate provision of information based in psychological science.  In parallel to our commitment to academic integrity, we are also committed to providing information that will better enable the treatment of historically marginalized and disadvantaged groups.  We affirm our commitment to equality, academic integrity and the provision of knowledge to improve health service psychology.
