Dr. Jared L. Skillings Elected to National Register of Health Service Psychologists Board of Directors

The National Register Board of Directors elected Dr. Jared L. Skillings to a four-year term effective January 1, 2026.   

In response to his election, Dr. Skillings remarked, “I am humbled and honored to join the Board of Directors of the National Register, the leading organization representing the interests of psychologists. It is a privilege to serve this community and ensure access to high-quality mental health services across the U.S.”  

Jared L. Skillings, PhD, ABPP, SHRM-C, is the Senior Medical Director for Mental Health at Teladoc Health, where he oversees operations and quality improvement within the company’s mental health services, which deliver over one million visits annually. Board-certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) in Clinical Psychology, Cognitive & Behavioral Psychology, and Clinical Health Psychology—one of only 25 psychologists holding certification in three specialties—Dr. Skillings has spent two decades advancing evidence-based practice across association leadership, integrated health systems, and federal policy. As former Chief Clinical Officer at the American Psychological Association (APA), he led strategy for 120,000 psychology professionals, secured FDA approval of the first mental health digital therapeutic, and improved market value of behavioral health services by more than 20%. Previously as Chief of Behavioral Health at Corewell Health, he founded and scaled behavioral health services across 14 hospitals and 250 clinics. With 30+ publications, 150+ invited presentations, 100+ federal testimonies shaping Medicare and FDA policy, and service on multiple boards and national advisory bodies, Dr. Skillings brings science-driven leadership to advancing health service psychology excellence
