The National Register credential is approved or in process of approval in 46 jurisdictions in the US and Canada. The National Register has helped more than 1,300 of our credentialed psychologists easily and quickly apply for licensure in another jurisdiction.
How Does the National Register Mobility Program Work?
Psychologists and doctoral students bank their credentials as part of their National Register application process. The National Register verifies to the licensing board that the currently credentialed psychologist is licensed, has met nationally accepted standards for doctoral education, has completed supervised experience in direct health services, and has no history of disciplinary action.
News: The Illinois Psychologist Licensing and Disciplinary Board has proposed new regulations to accept the National Register Health Service Psychologists credential to expedite licensure by endorsement for psychologists with more than five years of licensure experience. Read our comments on the proposed regulations here.
In Minnesota, after a lengthy rule-making process, the National Register mobility program is now in the final stages of approval. The Executive Director of the Minnesota Board reported that the new provision would be active in 2013. |
