The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has made their consultation program for behavioral health providers treating PTSD available to those outside of the VA system.

The PTSD Consultation Program, or "?TSD," is staffed by practitioners with at least seventeen years of experience in treating, researching, and consulting on cases of PTSD. Staff members are available to answer questions regarding several facets of treatment:

  • Evidence-based treatment
  • Clinical management
  • Resources
  • Assessment
  • Education & training opportunities
  • Referrals
  • Improving care
  • Transitioning Veterans to VA care

Consultations are free and available by phone or email. The expected response time for a consultation request is one business day or less.

Phone: (866) 948-7880

Free continuing education on PTSD is also available through the program.
