We are actively recruiting for an Internal Medicine Teaching Psychologist to join our primary care team.
We have two job opportunities for Psychologists in our health system -
1) Psychologist: Legacy Emanuel Internal Medicine Residency Clinic (Position Number 17-3958 - see more below)
2) Psychologist: PICU/NICU Randall Children’s Hospital (Position Number 17-3313)
The internal medicine teaching psychologist has three roles: 1) faculty member of the Department of Medicine and is responsible for teaching, research, patient care and administrative duties under the direction of the Chief of Medicine. As defined in Accountabilities/Essential Functions, the clinical psychologist teaches and supervises resident physicians and students, and provides administrative direction to the Training Program and the Department. 2) provides teaching and supervision of psychology practicum students as assigned, 3) provides integrated team-based primary care psychological services including diagnosis and brief treatment for mental health, substance use disorders and health behaviors affecting physical health conditions. The core values of teamwork, respect and caring, effective use of resources and initiative are integrated comprehensively into the Accountabilities/Essential Functions. Must be eligible for membership in the hospital medical staff.
The ideal candidate will be Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology with a minimum of 2 years post-doctoral clinical experience in an outpatient healthcare setting. Experience with teaching medical and psychology residents/students, highly preferred
