The National Register of Health Service Psychologists has partnered with the American Association of Suicidology to promote a series of two-hour webinars specifically designed for mental health providers who treat persons who have served or are currently serving in any of the National Guard or Reserve components of the Military. Providers can earn continuing education credits once they successfully complete the webinars.*
The webinars are freely accessible via www.USMilitaryMatters.org. The webinars and trainings are made possible by a cooperative grant agreement between the Department of Defense (DoD), the Defense Suicide Prevention Office (DSPO) and the American Association of Suicidology, in cooperation with the National Center for Veterans Studies, to conduct programs and trainings in suicide prevention, outreach, and education for the National Guard, Reserves, their families, and mental health providers.
If you have any questions about the training webinars, please contact Jennifer Tinch (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The American Association of Suicidology is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. AAS maintains responsibility for the program and its content.
