On Saturday, April 22, the National Register will join with a number of not-for-profit professional and scientific organizations to participate in the March for Science on the National Mall in Washington, DC. The March for Science is a non-political organization that was formed to show support for the scientific community. As psychology is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) profession, I feel that the National Register’s participation in this event will help demonstrate our commitment to the scientific basis of the discipline and show support for other science based groups. We join the American Psychological Association, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and a large number of other not-for-profit scientific organizations in the march.
If you are able, I encourage you to join us. On the 22nd, our group will depart promptly at 9:30 a.m. from the front entrance of the AAAS building at 12th and H St NW and walk to the Washington Monument grounds. No need to RSVP, just show up by 9:30.
Directions and further information for the march can be found at https://www.marchforscience.com.
