TENURE-TRACK POSITION OPENING - CORE FACULTY, 

APA-ACCREDITED PSYD PROGRAM

Marywood University (www.marywood.edu) seeks a tenure-track, assistant professor of clinical psychology for a full-time (9-month) position beginning August, 2018 to serve as a core faculty member for our Psy.D. program in clinical psychology. Continuously APA-accredited since 2006, this competitive, university-based, full-time program follows a scholar-practitioner model and includes an on-campus Psychological Services Center, small cohort sizes (8-10), and excellent student outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES: As a member of the core clinical faculty for the Psy.D. program, at least 50% of the teaching load will be at the graduate level. Supervision of student research is expected, including undergraduate honors research, master’s and doctoral research. Successful candidates should demonstrate potential for effective teaching and scholarship and be willing to provide service to the department, University, and community.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Required:  a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA-approved program; APA (preferred) or APPIC predoctoral internship; licensed or license-eligible in Pennsylvania; training/experience to competently provide clinical supervision for services provided to both children and adults. Preferred:  prior Graduate teaching experience; supervision of student research experience; cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, or integrative theoretical orientation; and a scholarship record.

THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Psychology and Counseling is in the College of Health and Human Services. It offers undergraduate, master’s, and school psychology programs and the APA-accredited Psy.D. program in clinical psychology, as well as master’s programs in school and mental health counseling.
