The Department of Psychological Sciences at the University of Indianapolis is seeking a tenure-track psychology faculty member beginning in August 2018, for 10 month appointment at the assistant or associate professor level in our undergraduate and graduate psychology programs.
The Department of Psychological Sciences contains an undergraduate major in psychology and a Master of Arts in Psychology with a generalist, program evaluation, and research track. The programs are located in the UIndy Health Pavilion, an innovative interprofessional collaborative space that houses our high-quality programs in nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, gerontology, kinesiology, and psychology as well as social work. We seek forward-thinking educators with practice and/or research experience in interprofessional or interdisciplinary settings.
Faculty responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in research methods and statistics, as well as courses in the candidate's content area of expertise (e.g., biological, health, or cognitive). In addition, faculty are expected to engage in student advising, and related psychology program and/or University service.
Qualifications: The requirements for the positions include a PhD in psychology from an accredited institution. Candidates who are ABD may be considered with the expectation of degree conferral prior to August, 2018. It is preferred that the successful candidate must have demonstrated evidence of effective post-secondary teaching and of service as well as excellent scholarly potential with a research and publication agenda.
