Staff Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker

*Lahey Clinic Medical Weight Loss Program*

Staff Psychologist/LICSW for the Lahey Medical Weight Loss Program Full-Time Preferred

We are seeking a Massachusetts-licensed (or license-eligible) clinical psychologist or LICSW with a specialization in obesity and related disorders and health psychology for a staff position at the Lahey Medical Weight Loss Program.

Our patient population is seen in an outpatient clinic, and consists of adults and children/adolescents seeking assessment, consultation, and treatment for obesity and related medical and psychosocial comorbidities. The position is a full-time clinical position. Clinical responsibilities will include conducting initial assessments, treatment planning, and delivering time-limited individual and group interventions.

Clinical work at the Lahey Weight Loss Program involves close collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team (obesity medicine physicians, surgeons, dietitians, nurse practitioner, other clinical investigators). The population is largely an adult population, but expertise/experience with children and/or adolescents is highly desirable.

Applicants should have a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA-accredited program and have completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship, or be a licensed social worker with health training and experience.  Applicants should be licensed, license-eligible, or imminently license-eligible in the state of Massachusetts. Training and experience in working with pediatric patients is highly preferred, but not required.

This position may include an appointment to the faculty of Tufts Medical School.

Initial appointment may be at the Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor level, commensurate with qualifications. Inquiries by qualified women and minority applicants are encouraged.

Interested candidates should send a CV and cover letter to Amanda Powell, MD at Amanda.powell@lahey.org.
