Centerstone is one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit providers of community-based behavioral health care, offering a full range of services in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee. The agency is a participant in the Learning to Love Groups initiative and the Trauma Informed Care Initiative.
Cathy McCoy, clinical coordinator for substance abuse services at Centerstone noted, "We have been actively working on enhancing service provision to better fit medical necessity. We recently re-organized our group services at one of our sites to offer a menu of evidence-based group services based on the specific needs our clients. One of the more exciting groups we now offer is “Steps to Survival” which is a skill building group for clients who have been diagnosed with PTSD and a substance use disorder.”
