The Milbank Memorial Fund has published an evidence update to their original 2010 report on nationwide Behavioral Health Integration (BHI) policy and effectiveness, providing an updated scan of the literature over a five-year period (2010 to 2015).

Updates included in the new report include resources to assist policymakers and health care planners in selecting, implementing, and sustaining BHI models as well as research revealing continued "unmet needs for behavioral health services, particularly for low income populations," according to Christopher Koller, the Fund's President.

In particular, the report strives to answer questions concerning policy such as interactions between mental and physical health, the effects of behavioral health services on health care budgets, and how best to deliver care and support recovery.
