Seeking Licensed Clinical Psychologist

The Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) Department of Surgery, in collaboration with the Department of Psychiatry, is seeking a part time (20 hours per week) licensed clinical psychologist to join the multidisciplinary Transplant Institute. The BIDMC Transplant Institute (www.bidmc.org/transplant) is a full-service adult kidney, pancreas, and liver transplant program, with living kidney and liver donation programs as well. The successful candidate will join an existing team of psychosocial providers, including four social workers. Responsibilities will include conducting clinical assessments of transplant candidates and potential living donors, providing psychological treatment and behavioral health services to patients, attending multidisciplinary transplant and living donor selection meetings, and participating in weekly psychosocial rounds with transplant social workers. In addition, the candidate will engage in the teaching mission of Departments of Surgery and Psychiatry including Grand Rounds, Morbidity and Mortality conferences, and resident training. The successful candidate for this position may be considered for Harvard Medical School appointment as Instructor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, commensurate with experience and achievements.

We are especially interested in psychologists with strong expertise and experience in delivering a full range of behavioral health services including alcohol relapse prevention, smoking cessation, strategies for attenuating patterns of nonadherence, and other lifestyle modification interventions.

Candidates who have completed training in an APA-accredited clinical psychology program and who are licensed (or license-eligible) in Massachusetts are encouraged to apply.
