Marshfield Clinic Health System has a great opportunity for graduating psychology interns and early career psychologists interested in training for future employment in medical and/or multidisciplinary community settings. We are accepting applications for postdoctoral fellowship positions in our unique program that blends adult clinical and health psychology training. Our next training cycle begins September 3, 2019. We invite you to review comprehensive information about the program on our website:
Description: Our unique fellowship program blends clinical and health psychology training, preparing psychologists for careers in multidisciplinary medical and community settings by providing supervised clinical, teaching, and research/scholarly activity opportunities. Fellows provide outpatient clinical and psychological testing services in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. Fellows additionally train in a wide range of health psychology services as part of multidisciplinary teams in Oncology/Hematology, Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, Sleep Medicine, and ENT and serve on several multidisciplinary committees. Teaching experience is acquired through facilitation of population health classes and seminar teaching with medical students and residents. Comprehensive didactic training includes a weekly seminar as well as monthly leadership and professionalism/ethics seminars. A second training year incorporates scholarly activity into training, individualized to a fellow’s interests and focused on program development, population health, research, data analysis, and/or other projects of interest to trainees. Fellows receive support to achieve the EPPP milestone with protected examination preparation time. Educational funds can be used towards the purchase of EPPP study materials or conference attendance and other educational needs. The program pays fees to take the EPPP a first time and fees for licensing.
Compensation: Our benefit package is highly competitive. Please review our website for further information. The fellowship stipend is $49,389 for the first year with many additional benefits including: health and dental insurance; retirement; life and disability insurance; relocation assistance; a meal allowance; personal, sick, maternity and professional leave; and yearly travel/education funds.
