VA Connecticut Healthcare System – Job Announcement for Clinical Psychologist in Research

Seeking an early career clinical psychologist to participate in treatment and non-treatment studies of obesity and eating disorders among Veterans. The individual will work closely with faculty and other trainees in the Veterans Initiative for Eating and Weight (The VIEW at VA CT) directed by Dr. Robin Masheb

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in clinical or health psychology and have completed an APA-approved internship, and have clinical experience with obesity and/or eating disorders (in particular behavioral weight loss treatments and/or cognitive-behavioral therapies). Ideal candidates will have strong psychiatric assessment experience (including semi-structured diagnostic interviews), organizational and data management skills, statistical expertise, and peer-reviewed publication history. 

The position is for a minimum of two years, and is well-suited for persons pursuing clinical-research careers. Extensive mentorship opportunities exist for publication and grant-writing including preparation of Career Development Award applications. Applicants can be licensed or license-eligible.
