CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST or FELLOW

Research and Development Service, National Center for Rehabilitative Auditory Research (NCRAR) at the VA Portland Health Care System in Portland, Oregon is seeking a CBT provider to join our research team.

Position Overview:

The NCRAR is conducting a research project comparing two interventions for managing bothersome tinnitus: (1) a customized sound-based therapy and (2) CBT. Individuals who qualify will be randomized to receive either the sound-based therapy device or group-administered CBT. We are looking for a part-time provider who would deliver the individualized CBT sessions. Training will be provided. The study is underway, and the start date is flexible.

Qualifications:

• Doctorate degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical psychology; graduate from an APA accredited program preferred; other qualifications will also be considered

• Experience providing CBT

• Flexible schedule and excellent interpersonal communication skills

• Previous experience in a research setting is preferred, but not required
