Position: Behavioral Sleep Medicine/Sleep Psychologist

The Center for Sleep Medicine is seeking a IL licensed/license-eligible clinical or health psychologist with adult or pediatric clinical background to join its established Behavioral Sleep Medicine (BSM) program. We are also open to applications from post-doctoral trainees demonstrating interest in a career in behavioral sleep medicine and can provide supervision.
Our established Behavioral Sleep Medicine program is fully integrated in this busy multi-specialty/multi-disciplinary sleep medicine practice. The staff position is clinical in emphasis, full time and salaried with benefits. Successful candidates should be willing to provide services to pediatric, adolescent, adult and medical populations. Transportation is required. Treatment services are typically short term, cognitive behavioral in nature and focus specifically on the treatment of sleep disorders, including insomnia, night eating, shift work sleep disorders, pediatric sleep disorders, and behavioral issues affecting treatment compliance for sleep apnea, narcolepsy and other sleep disorders. Experience in sleep medicine is preferred; however training and supervision can be provided. In this private medical practice setting, organization, clear communication with patients, referring physicians and staff, collaboration in expanding the practice, and a patient/consumer focus are also important applicant characteristics.
