Behavioral Health Postdoctoral Fellowship Announcement The St. Vincent’s Family Medicine Center in Jacksonville, Florida is accepting applications for a one-year postdoctoral fellowship, with the option to extend to two years, in integrated primary care psychology.

This training program prepares fellows to be comfortable and competent working in the interdisciplinary context of primary care, providing consultation to medical providers and psychological and behavioral health treatments with primary care patients.

The fellow will function as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a family medicine residency clinic. This unique training structure allows the fellow to grow their clinical skills with a highly diverse population in integrated primary care.

Primary duties include diagnostic screenings, behavioral health consultations, and brief psychological interventions with children, adults and families. The fellowship provides didactic training, one-on-one supervision, rotations on the Mobile Health Unit and inpatient hospital service, and teaching/research opportunities. Responsibilities will allow for fulfillment of the licensure requirement in the State of Florida.

The Family Medicine Center is part of St. Vincent's Health Care System which was founded by the Daughters of Charity in 1916, as well as Ascension Health, which is the nation's largest Catholic nonprofit health system. The Family Medicine Center serves as a training site for medical students, MD and DO Family Medicine Residents. The health center includes Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Women’s Health, and Behavior Health Services. We provide care for a balanced population of private pay, managed care and indigent patients. It is one of the main vehicles by which St. Vincent's fulfills its mission of compassionate, available primary care for all patients in Jacksonville.

Eligibility: Completion of and degree conferred from an APA accredited doctoral program in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (PhD/PsyD), as well as an APA accredited internship. Candidate should be committed to serving an underserved population consistent with the mission of the St. Vincent’s Health Care System.

Benefits: Stipend of $40,000 (yr1) and $42,500 (yr2) with paid vacation and health care benefits provided.
