Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology
The Psychology Department at Rowan University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin Fall 2018.
The ideal candidate will make a significant contribution to our new Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology with training in Health and Integrated Primary Care. Research area is open but experience/research in health-related issues, behavioral medicine, and/or integrated primary care are encouraged. Candidates conducting health disparities research are strongly encouraged to apply.
In addition to teaching, job responsibilities include maintaining active involvement in clinical supervision and research mentorship of graduate students. Successful candidates will have a passion for graduate and undergraduate teaching, and a desire and/or record of seeking external funding to support an active program of research.
The minimum qualification for the position is a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from an APA Accredited Program. ABD at time of application will be considered; the candidate’s doctoral degree must be awarded by Sept. 1, 2018. Candidates should be licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in New Jersey within 16 months of start date.
In addition to our new Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology, the Department of Psychology offers Masters’ degrees and advanced graduate certificate programs in Applied Behavior Analysis, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and School Psychology.
