On Monday, February 29, the United States Senate will begin voting on the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (S. 524). CARA authorizes much-needed funding in evidence-based treatment and recovery to help Americans struggling with addiction to heroin or opioids. It also expands prevention and educational efforts—particularly aimed at teens, parents, and aging populations—to prevent the abuse of opioids and heroin.

Our friends at the National Council for Behavioral Health set up an easy way for you to contact your Senator and urge passage of this legislation.
