The National Register
of Health Service Providers in Psychology, in conjunction
with American
Psychological Association of Graduate Students
(APAGS), is pleased to announce a new award for doctoral
students in psychology. Each summer and winter the
National Register and APAGS will award $300 to a minimum
of 10 students (per award cycle) interested in becoming
credentialed by the National Register through its
student program, the National Psychologist Trainee
Register.
The $300 award will cover the application fees for
each recipients credential banking and review (to
include the doctoral degree, internship, postdoctoral
supervised experience) and registration fee to activate
the recipients NRHSPP credential as soon as they are
licensed. APAGS and the National Register will select
the recipients based on the criteria below. Applications
must be received by November 1 for the winter award,
and by May 1 for the summer award. To view the first

The National Register is the largest credentialing
organization for psychologists. The National Psychologist
Trainee Register helps students build and maintain
a credentials profile that complies with national
education and training standards, and positions them
for the National Register HSPP credential. Banking
credentials helps students eliminate the arduous task
of ordering official transcripts and searching for
past supervisors later on in their career.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this award, candidates must be
either 1) applying for internship within the next
year, 2) currently on internship, or 3) entering their
4th year of study in a doctoral program. Candidates
must be an APAGS member, enrolled in an APA/CPA accredited
or ASPPB/National Register Designated doctoral program,
and have submitted the NPTR Master Information Form,
available
