Doctoral Student Research

To assist doctoral psychology students in research with credentialed healthcare psychologists, the National Register makes available for a greatly discounted purchase the direct mailing information for up to 2,000 Registrants for one time use. The mailing list created for the student's research may be the result of a random sample or specifically identified search characteristics that are easily available from the www.findapsychologist.org database. Examples are geographic location, areas of expertise (38 available currently), languages spoken, etc.

To obtain a search of the findapsychologist database for research purposes, the National Register requires that the doctoral student submit a written request, identify the doctoral psychologist supervisor working with the doctoral student, provide proof of current graduate student status, and a brief description of the project.   Prior to sending the information to the doctoral student,  the National Register must receive a copy of the materials that will be sent to Registrants, the $250 fee for the database and a signed statement ensuring that the mailing list will only be used once for research purposes. Upon completion of the project, the National Register requests a copy of the results of the project.
