The
National Register takes security and privacy
very seriously. Please note that we have implemented the following
technology and procedures to ensure that your
private information remains safe and secure:
- We use industry
standard 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
encryption for all web pages so that information
you read or submit here cannot be intercepted
as it travels over the Internet.
- Our database
resides behind an actively managed and monitored
screened-subnet application gateway firewall
with advanced intrusion detection and active
response software to prevent invasion by hackers.
- We store your
social security number in encrypted format
in the database using a 1,024-bit key and
block-cipher encryption algorithm so that
even if the firewall is traversed your sensitive
data cannot be stolen.
- We never store
your complete credit card number in the database.
