Biographical Information: Dr. Holmes received her Ph.D. from Southern Illinois
University in Clinical Psychology. She completed a
postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Rochester
and psychoanalytic training at the Baltimore-Washington
Center for Psychoanalysis. She is the Director of
the Psy.D. program at George Washington University
and Professor of Clinical Psychology. Her interests
relate to technique in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy;
psychoanalytic applications to mental health issues
of minorities and of the poor; forensic psychology.
She has published extensively on minority treatment
issues. She is a former member of the NR BOD who has
had an independent practice in Washington, D.C. for
29 years. She has served on the APA Ethics Committee,
Accreditation Committee and Board of Educational Affairs.
