Judy E. Hall, PhD, Early Career Psychologist Awards

This award, named in honor of NR's Executive Officer since 1990, is awarded annually to a Registrant with less than 10 years of post-doctoral experience. The intent of this award is to support a specific project which is relevant to the mission, vision, and values of the National Register, including:

  • credentialing psychologists
  • promoting credentialed psychologists to consumers
  • providing distinction and value to Registrants
  • guiding psychology students toward credentialing
  • enhancing psychologists' contributions to integrated healthcare
  • facilitating the identification of qualified psychologists in the global community

Note: Proposals to use the award stipend to pay the Registrant for private practice fee for services are not eligible.

The recipient receives a plaque, a check for $1,500, and an award citation in The Register Report.

  • a current CV
  • a one-page application letter describing your specific expertise and how it relates to the proposed project
  • a one-page project proposal, including a specific description of the project, use of finances, timetables, and expected outcomes

Evaluation Criteria

Applications for this award will be evaluated on the following criteria:

  • the project's relevance to the National Register mission, vision, and values
  • the feasibility of the project
  • the applicant's expertise in the area of the proposed project
