About Me

As a board certified, evidenced-based clinical psychologist, I strive to integrate the best available behavioral science research with my clinical expertise in the context of an individual’s unique characteristics, culture, values, and preferences. I offer a range of professional psychological services to meet an individual’s needs and help solve her or his problems.

I provide individual, couple, and family therapy for:

  • anxiety, panic, phobias, and obsessive-compulsive behavior
  • depression, stress, loss and grief
  • interpersonal difficulties and relationship distress
  • addictive behaviors, substance abuse, and impulse control
  • health and lifestyle issues, chronic pain and illness, preparation for surgery
  • family conflict, communication difficulties, parenting issues
  • attention and concentration challenges

I provide psychological diagnostic and therapeutic assessments for:

  • identifying personality strengths and weaknesses
  • evaluating intellectual functioning and attentional difficulties
  • determining psychological risk factors for medical and pre-surgery patients
  • aiding in differential diagnosis and treatment planning

Therapy works by helping you objectively look at behaviors, feelings and thoughts in situations you find problematic. It helps you learn more effective ways of dealing with those situations. Therapy is a collaborative effort. Together, we will identify your goals - what you want to have happen, and agree on how you’ll know when your making progress.

My goal is to work with you in the most time efficient manner as possible. As a trained mental health professional, I can help you identify your problems and then figure out ways to best cope with them; to change contributing behaviors or habits; or to find constructive ways to deal with a situation that is beyond your control.

Why Choose a National Register Psychologist?
The National Register is the largest credentialing organization for psychologists. The independent, non-profit organization was created in 1974 with the help of the American Psychological Association and the American Board of Professional Psychology. Today, the National Register is the leading source of information on nationally credentialed psychologists in health care. Psychologists who are awarded national Registrant status have achieved the highest educational and professional standards in health care. It is the only independent, credentialing body with a national level standard for verifying education and training qualifications, licensing, and ethical standards with more than 11,000 doctoral level psychologists in its database.
