I am licensed in both Psychology and Marriage & Family counseling, and having post- doctoral education in treating parents, teenagers, and children, I am comfortable and drawn to all ages, various ethnicities, and diverse issues. These issues include, but are not limited to depression, anxiety, PTSD, parenting, and problems in relationships.
Starting therapy or marriage counseling can be a daunting moment. You may wish for solutions, and truly would appreciate a warm and vibrant connection with your therapist.
The patients that compare counseling here to prior therapy say that the counseling they received in my care is “different.” I believe that they have this experience because I focus on the whole person in all aspects of their life and strive to make each session a soulful experience. As one patient said to me recently, “I can talk about sad and difficult things, but I always leave our sessions more content and energized.”
I have been trained in many approaches, both classic and new. My passion is Energy Psychology, a new, rapidly developing therapeutic modality. It quickly and gently releases emotional distress and in its place, creates peace. In the hands of an able therapist, it can promote readiness for change, strengthen a positive self-concept, and release emotional blocks. Most importantly, it is easy to learn and can be gracefully integrated into everyday life.
I strongly believe that you should complete therapy with new skills to alleviate challenging moments that are mound to occur as life proceeds after therapy ends.
I invite you to have a free twenty-minute phone consultation which I offer, so you can get a sense of whether you wish to work with me. During this time, I can determine if I can be of help, or if I should refer you to someone who is more suited for your specific needs. Generally, I return calls seven days a week.
