About Me

What is multimodal therapy?

MULTIMODAL THERAPY is a comprehensive, action-oriented psychotherapy.

Overall, Multimodal Therapy would fit into what is known as a Cognitive Behavior form of treatment which attends all modalitites of human functioning. Clinical research and follow up studies revealed that long-lasting positive outcomes occur more frequently when psychotherapy systematically attends to the following personality factors: problem BEHAVIORS, unpleasant EMOTIONS, PSYCHOSOMATIC complaints, negative SELF-IMAGES, irrational THOUGHTS, stressful RELATIONSHIPS, and BIOLOGICAL DISORDERS. Whereas most treatment approaches focus on two or three of these modalitites, MULTIMODAL THERAPY carefully examines and treats specific problems in each of these seven areas.

This very nicely fits the acronym BASIC ID: Behavior Affect Sensation Imagery Cognition Interpersonal Drugs/biological

Why Choose a National Register Psychologist?
The National Register is the largest credentialing organization for psychologists. The independent, non-profit organization was created in 1974 with the help of the American Psychological Association and the American Board of Professional Psychology. Today, the National Register is the leading source of information on nationally credentialed psychologists in health care. Psychologists who are awarded national Registrant status have achieved the highest educational and professional standards in health care. It is the only independent, credentialing body with a national level standard for verifying education and training qualifications, licensing, and ethical standards with more than 11,000 doctoral level psychologists in its database.
